The Cuba Libre (Spanish for Free Cuba) originated around 1900 in Havana, Cuba. This is a celebration drink made with rum, cola, and a lime. In the majority of the western world this is known as a "rum and coke"... but as we're in Miami, FL and we're surrounded by a huge cuban and latino population.. we'll call it a Cuba Libre!

We use a highball glass and add ice to your taste (some of my friends use little ice, some fill the glass, your choice here. Then add the ingredients. Stir and garnish with lime wedge.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 oz. dark or white rum
- Juice of half a lime
- Ice
- Cola

A Sorrel "bounce" is a mixed drink made from the juice is drawn from the red sepals of the Roselle plant (Hibiscus sabdariffa) [which is commonly called sorrel in the Caribbean] and dark rum.
